These three photographs are from one of my favourite schools: St Peter's in Rathgar, Dublin. Teacher Ms Janet O'Connell very kindly asked me to be 'Writer-in-Residence' which meant I got to visit the school on a weekly basis, throughout January 1916, and talk to them about my WWII novel 'City of Fate'. The students has chosen it for their JCSP 'Make A Book' project and it was an absolute privilege to hear their opinions on the novel and listen to their alternative endings for the characters. Unfortunately, thanks to flu, I missed a fantastic exhibition in Dublin's Civic Offices when hundreds of schools hung their projects, each related to a specific book. It was, however, such a thrill to have my book chosen to be part of this - all thanks to lovely Ms O'Connell and her class.
